London Cassell and Company Limited 1953 First Edition; First Printing Hardcover Very Good in Very Good dust jacket

Some nicks to the dust jacket extremities, and a small tape repair to the underside of the back cover. Some fading to the dust jacket spine, and uneven tanning to the back cover. Robert Graves, working from Greek and Latin sources, and Joshua Podro, working from Hebrew, Aramaic and Syriac sources, completed a detailed restoration of the original Nazarene Gospel. This was Graves's biggest and most controversial work. It caused an intense sense of outrage and was condemned as blasphemous. Very uncommon in this condition.
