Cordially, E. W. G., Muscatine, Iowa, June 1945." Ownership signature of Ella G. Bellew dated in 1941 on the free endpaper. Newspaper articles pertaining to the publication of this book are pasted to the rear endpapers, along with a laid in article about the publisher Carroll Coleman. The dust jacket is grubby, with a large chip to the rear panel. "James Norman Hall" is written in pencil below the inscription. Poems set in a small Iowa town along the Rock Island railroad in the early 1900s. ; 110 pages
